In this must-hear episode of “Vic Cohen’s It’s a Fair Question,” Vic interviews “Deal or No Deal” model, Katie Cleary, and her husband at the time, Andrew Stern.
Listening today, the interview takes on perhaps new meaning, as we now know that about a year and three months after this recording, the couple would plan on divorcing and Andrew would tragically take his life.
The couple gives us a remarkably honest look into what appears to be a very loving marriage at the time. Along with their apparent mutual love, we also hear about the challenges they may have faced around Katie’s animal activism, their romantic life, and more.
Early in the interview Katie talks with Vic alone about the hurdles she’s bravely overcome from her childhood, making her the successful model and activist that she is today.
Then midway through the episode, Andrew joins Vic and Katie in-studio. And suddenly the interview turns into an unforgettable, light-hearted marriage counseling session with Vic playing therapist.
This is the only interview of Katie and Andrew talking about their relationship, as it existed in March, 2013. It's hard to believe what has happened since then. (This episode was recorded at Skidrow Studios in downtown Los Angeles.)
